OREANDA-NEWS.  July 11, 2012. “The flow of tourists is increasing with the help of the new rout called “World Amber Way”, said Elena Kropinova, the Head of the region tourism agency.

Elena noticed that the decision to start the rout in Kaliningrad region was accepted at the Vilnius conference, because the “Amber Way” was conceived exactly at this place.

At the conference the tourism agency came up with a proposal to diversify the rout with two interesting events which are popular in Kaliningrad: the Amberfest ( take place in august) and the Amber catching world championship, where a great amount of adults and children participate in.

In addition people can find a lot of places of interest and beautiful sights travelling by “amber” way. First of all it’s the amber museum in Kaliningrad and the great observation deck near the amber factory, where everybody can watch the mineral extraction.
