OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2012. Belarus would like to found with Moldova a joint wine producing enterprise, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovitch stated in his meeting with Moldova’s Speaker of Parliament Marian Lupu, who is paying a visit to Minsk.

Myasnikovitch substantiated this wish as follows: 80% imports of Moldovan wines come to Belarus in bulk, and only 20% imports are bottled wines.

In his words, another sphere of cooperation should be joint enterprises to produce hybrid seeds of corn, sugar beets and fruit. Premier Myasnikovitch confirmed his country’s wish to found in Moldova a trans-national company for assembling Belarus-origin trolleybuses, tractors and other farm machines.

He added that the current dynamic of commercial exchange between the two countries is positive, and that Moldova is ranking 5th among Belarus’ main trade partners.

Marian Lupu welcomed Belarus’ intention to launch investment projects in Moldova, and stressed that the two Parliaments should create a sound legal frame in this sphere.
