OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2012. China's commercial inventories of oil products in nine grain-producing provinces held by state companies Sinopec and China National Petroleum Corp. totaled 3.77 million mt as of June 25, up 5.8% year on year, the National Development and Reform Commission said.

Of the total volume, gasoil stocks totaled 2.32 million mt, up 14.7% year on year.

The provinces are Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan and Shaanxi.

Hebei and Jiangsu provinces along the eastern coast had the highest stocks, holding over 520,000 mt of oil products each, with gasoil accounting for over half of the total.

The NDRC said earlier that total stocks held by both companies in the nine provinces was 4.37 million mt on May 20, up 20.8% year on year. Gasoil inventories accounted for 2.78 million mt, up 32.7% year on year.
