OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2012. This year the state will have to re-allocate significant funds to offset losses to agriculture producers, who suffered significant losses due to adverse weather conditions, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at a Cabinet session.

The PM stressed: "In Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions the resowing of wheat in the autumn and during extreme cold winter the situation is not saved. Farms in these regions have significant losses. The state will once again have to offset losses to farmers" – Mykola Azarov said. The Government 300 million UAH has allocated to compensate losses of farmers this year.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized that Ukraine finally should abandon the practice when losses of farmers shifted to the shoulders of taxpayers. According to him, we should go at last to the civilized practice when insurance companies compensate natural and climatic risks.
