OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2012. A ceremony of awarding the best exporters of 2011 was held in Moscow. KAMAZ has already for the 13th time won the award in the category "The Best Russian Exporter of the Industry – the Automotive Industry".

This high award was given to the Russian leading truck producer due to its successful export activity: last year the company exported more than 6,000 vehicles.

The 2008 financial crisis crippled the company’s exports. But since 2009, KAMAZ has been annually increasing deliveries of its products to foreign markets. It corresponds to its strategic plan to become one of the world`s leading automobile manufacturers. According to the company’s development strategy, its export share will have reached 30% by 2020. In addition, OJSC KAMAZ has got assembly enterprises in Vietnam, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and India. Vehicles are assembled of components delivered from KAMAZ. The company is implementing a project to localize production of parts and units of vehicle sets in countries where assembly enterprises are located.

Also, KAMAZ’s subsidiary in Bashkortostan – JSC Neftekamsk Automobile Plant – was named the best Russian exporter in its category.
