OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2012. Ural Airlines has summed up its operating results for May 2012. During the past month, the airline's passenger traffic equalled to 298,993, which is 40% more than in 2011. A total of 1,137,115 passengers used the carrier's services since the beginning of the year. It is noteworthy that, for the first time in the airline's history, the millionth passenger was carried in spring.

In May 2012, Ural Airlines has performed 2,335 flights (the figure has grown by 33% YOY since 2011). This includes 1,049 international flights, 800 domestic flights, and 486 flights to CIS countries. The actual passenger traffic in May equalled to 803,684 thousand passenger-kilometres, which is 40% higher than the 2011 level.

Ural Airlines has performed a total of 9,524 flights since the beginning of 2012, including 3,674 international flights, 3,717 domestic flights, and 2,133 flights to CIS countries. The Ural Airlines passenger traffic has grown by 59% in the course of the first five months of 2012. The majority of Ural Airlines passengers have travelled by international flights - 542,256; 376,284 passengers used the domestic flight services; 218,575 passengers departed to CIS countries with the air carrier's flights. The total Ural Airlines passenger traffic equalled to 3,115,425 thousand passenger-kilometres in the course of the first five months of 2012.
