OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2012. The Delegation of the Tolmachevo airport took part in   Routes CIS 2012 forum held from 24 to 26 June in Yekaterinburg. Forum brought together 230 delegates from Russia, CIS countries, Europe and Asia.

Tolmachevo specialists conducted a series of negotiations on the flights operations from Novosibirsk with such airlines as Air Baltic, Fly Dubai, Qatar Airways, CSA-CzechAirlines, Tatarstan Airlines and others. During the meetings, air carriers were suggested to examine the possibility of opening of such new directions as Tel Aviv, Helsinki, Riga, Kaliningrad, Perm and Tyumen, and to enter additional frequencies to Prague, Dubai, Yerevan, Simferopol and other cities. In December of 2012 it is planned to launch the S7 Airlines flights to Munich.

In addition   Tolmachevo representatives held negotiations with travel agencies on the opening of charter flights to the new tourist destinations (Nice, Fujairah).

The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub East of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve 3,155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011 and handle more than 26,000 tons of cargo and mail that is 28% more than in 2011.

For the first time in the CIS Routes CIS forum was held in 2010 in Kharkov. The Forum was attended by leaders of the aviation market in Europe, CIS, Middle East, the top management of airports, airlines, suppliers and contractors of the aviation industry and others.Routes CIS is a part of  The World Routes Development Forum, which takes place since 1995. Tolmachevo takes part in   Routes forums since 2007.
