OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2012. In July Pskovenergo branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC will commence implementation of the project for the 6 kV overhead line changeover to cable design. The uniqueness and complexity of the solution for reconstruction of this electric energy transmission line in Pskov consists in the fact of the route crossing the Velikaya River in the center of the city. On a whole, the line extension is equal to approximately 1.2 km.

For underwater laying of two parallel line routes with extension amounting to 260 m one has planned application of the so-called "sea" cable that will be embedded into the river bed to a depth of no less than 1 m. The river maximum depth at the underwater passage spot is 7.6 m. The design project envisages mandatory performance of all nature conservation and water-protection measures.

Pskovenergo expenditures on the electric energy transmission line will make 15.8 mln RUR to be allocated from the proprietary funds planned under the enterprise 2012 investment program. Currently, the contractor organization to undertake the project implementation has been determined by way of open request for quotations which is Peterburgenergostroy, LLC. The works will be completed by the beginning of winter.
