OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2012. The Energy Consulting Group and the Company TENOR has signed a partnership agreement on promotion EDI-platform eCar on the Russian market. EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a set of standards on transfer of structured digital data between organizations, reported the press-centre of Energy Consulting.

In compliance with the signed agreement Energy Consulting is responsible for sales of services in eCar system implementation, for training of Russian users as well as for support of current clients in Russia (there are about 40 clients now), including leading international and Russian suppliers and producers of vehicle components that supply the major car manufacturers in Russia, such as Peugeot, Renault.

eCar is convenient service of Electronic Data Interchange enabling to enhance the service quality and ensure supplies for automobile companies, retailers and logistic operators. Electronic Data Interchange between contractors via eCar on orders and supplies enables to reduce the time on order processing by suppliers, on preparation of order documentation, warehouse processing of received goods by customers, and to exclude errors related to order/data re-input into the information system of the supplier/customer. EDI-platform eCar is used by more than 1300 clients from 40 countries worldwide.

Svetlana Ivanova, a member of the Board of Directors, the Energy Consulting Group, says as follows: "EDI is one of new areas of IT development on the Russian market. We see the abilities interesting for Energy Consulting as in the part of using these solutions for current customers of the Group of companies, as well as for entry into new markets in Russia and CIS".

eCar enables customers and suppliers to exchange a range of information between their information systems directly, as well as to receive and send messages via a web-portal, without using ERP. In this case the customer can install eCar in own IT-infrastructure or use the cloud service of eCar installed in the TENOR data center. A circumstance of no small importance that eCar has pre-configured interfaces for the integration with ERP systems of leading vendors such as SAP, SAGE, and Microsoft.
