SIA and SilkAir Upgrading Reservations System
OREANDA-NEWS. July 04, 2012. Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will be undergoing a transition to a new reservations system on 8 July 2012.
During the transition, all SIA and SilkAir flights are due to operate as scheduled. However, booking, reservation and ticketing services through singaporeair.com, silkair.com, call centres, service centres and travel agents, as well as KrisFlyer-related transactions and online/mobile functions such as SMS alerts, will not be available from 1800hrs on 7 July Singapore local time. These services are expected to progressively resume from 2200hrs on 8 July.
Internet, mobile and early check-in will not be available for all flights departing on 8 and 9 July Singapore local time[1]. Customers should bring a printed copy of their electronic ticket to the airport for check-in. Counters will open 3 hours before the scheduled time of departure for SIA flights and 2 hours before departure for SilkAir flights.
