OREANDA-NEWS. July 04, 2012. Belarus saw the consumer price index grow 0.9% over the first 12 days of June 2012 and 9.5% since early this year, the National Statistics Committee told.

The largest increase in retail prices was registered with bread and bakery goods (3.7%), beer (1.9%), beef (except for boneless meat), butter (1.7%), boneless beef (1.6%), mayonnaise (1.5%), prime-grade boiled sausage, smoked sausage, prefabricated poultry, fat cottage cheese, hard cheese, wheat flour, soft beverages (0.6-1.3%), petrol (5.3%), fabrics (1.7%), kitchen dishes (0.6%), kindergarten fees (9.2%), healthcare vacations (6.6%), housing and utilities (6.5%), public city transport (2.1%), household services (1.3%).

As previously reported, Belarus saw the consumer price index grow 108.7% in 2011, although the initial forecast for 2011 stood at 7.5%-8.5%. Belarus’ inflation forecast for 2012 stands at 19-22%.
