OREANDA-NEWS. July 04, 2012. Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery is collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture on the matter of possible growing of barely in Moldova. This was stated by Director General Kamil Yazici, who noted that barely will be used to make malt, the feedstock to brew beer.

According to him, in the framework of this partnership Efes Beer Group will use all know-how available for other projects in other states. Kamil Yazici stressed Moldova has enough agricultural possibilities to fit the quality standards of the EFES Group to raise barely for needs of production. “ We think the success of this project to be implemented together with the Ministry of Agriculture will be beneficial for the company, industry and economy of Moldova in general”, the Director General remarked.

According to him, the beer produced by Efes Vitanta Moldova is 100% natural product which meets all international quality standards and never includes artificial components. Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery (EVMB) has been a member of Efes Beer Group (EBG) since 2003. EBG owns 18 breweries in 6 countries (Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia), 7 malthouses and 1 hop processing factory.

The portfolio of EVBM includes domestic brands Chisinau, Festival, Kvassica and international brands Grolsch, Pilsner Urquell, Miller Genuine Draft, Kozel (Dark, Pale), Efes.
