Moldovan Residential Stock 0.7% Up
OREANDA-NEWS. July 02, 2012. According to NBS, it was 30 mln. 859.2 thou. sq.m. in urban areas, 1.4% up as compared with 2011 and 38.6% of a total amount of the housing stock and 49 mln. 001.1 thou. sq.m. in rural areas, 0.2% up and 61.4% of the total amount.
As of the beginning of the year the residential stock in Chisinau made up 17 mln. 088.7 thou. sq.m. (+2,8% against 2011), including 15 mln. 247.8 thou. sq.m. in the city (+2.7%) and 1 mln. 840.9 thou. sq.m. in suburbs (+3.6%). The residential stock was 2 mln. 436 thou. sq.m. (+0,6%), in Balti and 3 mln. 583.1 thou. sq.m. (-0,9%)in Gagauzia.
According to NBC, as of January, 2012 the degree of the provision of the population with housing averaged 22,4 sq.m. per capita in Moldova against 22.3 sq.m. in 2011. It urban areas this indicator was 20,8 sq.m. (20,5 sq.m. in 2011), being 23,6 sq.m. (23,5 sq.m) in rural areas. According to NBC, as of January, 2012 the degree of the provision of the population with housing averaged 21.6 sq.m. per capita in Chisinau against 21 sq.m. in 2011, including 21.1 sq.m. in the capital (against 20.6 sq.m. in 2011) and 25,8 sq.m. in suburbs (against 25.4 sq.m. in 2011). This indicator equaled to 16.4 sq.m. in Balti (against 16,3 sq.m. in 2011) and 22.3 sq.m in Gagauzia (against 22.5 sq.m. in 2011).
As of January, 1, 2012 the highest degree of provision of the populationwith the housing was recorded in Dondiuseni and made 31.3 sq.m. per capita, with the lowest being registered in Balti (16,4 sq.m.) and Nisporeni (19,5 sq.m.). Over 77 mln. 754.6 thou. sq.m. (97.4% of a total amount of the housing stock of Moldova) are in private property of individuals and legal entities.
The state owns 2 mln. 022 thou. sq.m. (2,5% of the housing stock). As of January, 1, 2012 the housing stock of Moldova included 1 mln.3 thou. apartments, including 768.2 thou. in urban areas and 547.1 thou. in rural ones. Out of a total amount of apartments 10.5% are one-room apartments, 32.3% are two-room ones, 36.2% are three-room and 21% are four- and more room apartments.
