OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 3.1% on the year in January-May 2012 to 187.4 trillion Belarusian rubles (22.7 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Industrial output in January-May 2012 increased 7.2% on the year to Br265 trillion (Br8,240/USD 1).

Farm output rose 6.5% to Br25.4 trillion.

In 2011, Belarus’ GDP grew 5.3% on the year to 274.3 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 337 trillion rubles, up 9.1% on the year. Farm output increased 6.6% to 56.7 trillion rubles.
