OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012. The first rural guest house has been opened in the new complex “Great Honey Spaces” (“Medovie prostory”) in Ivanovka village, 130 km away from Tambov – the head of the physical culture, sport and tourism Department, Mikhail Belousov said.

"Clean air, organic food, brilliant landscapes – there is a tendency to spend holidays far away from city noises and highways nowadays. In our region, we are starting to develop the rural tourism”, - he said.

In the “Great Honey Spaces” there is a wooden, fully furnished house, big garden with fruit trees, a well with spring water, ponds for fishing and swimming.

6-8 guests can stay in one house, all together 7 houses are being built at the moment.

Right next to the complex, on the river Savala, there is a waterfall and a lovely natural spring. Also, tourists can visit regional natural history museum in Zherdevka and Sergey Rakhmaninov mansion in Ivanovka.

As Mr. Belousov mentioned, Rostourism underlines the increased interest for the rural tourism.

It is planned to organize travel routes, routes for pilgrims, children and horse-back rides. 

In Tasmbov region, there are more that 1300 objects of cultural heritage, there are 55 hotels and “Russian village” complex in Karandeevka, which was opened in 2010.
