OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2012. In the first five days of Euro 2012 PrivatBank has increased cash loading in its ATMs located in the central districts of Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Lviv. As the Bank’s press-service reported, ATMs placed in all Euro host cities are collected daily and in Kyiv’s downtown - even several times per day to ensure their availability for residents and guests of the football championship.

"PrivatBank ATMs in Kyiv’s downtown and other cities give out cash in a normal mode; due to a unique on-line monitoring system in our ATM network we are able to control when any of our ATMs might run out of cash and send there money collectors in advance, - says Kirill Volkov, the Head of PrivatBank ATM and terminal network department. - Certainly, during the first days workload on ATMs grew up several times, and traffic jams on the streets hindered to get to the downtown, but we're sure we can handle such a workload. Only in Kyiv, within 1.5 kilometers' radius around the stadium there are 32 ATMs, in Donetsk - 23, in Kharkiv - 41 and in Lviv - 3 ATMs. All these ATMs haven’t had any downtime since June 5th. "

According to the press-service of the bank, ATM collection service in Kyiv and other cities hosting Euro 2012 operates now on a special schedule, providing  ATMs collection in advance or at night, because of traffic jams and blocked streets in fan zones.

Today, the National Bank of Ukraine has appealed to banks recommending to strenghten control over the ATM network’s functioning in the host cities of Euro 2012 and to perform timely the ATMs collection to ensure unhindered cash withdrawal.
