OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2012. BUSYRUS 495HD excavator no.1 team hit a new Russian record in overburden removal by trucks - 1782 ths m3 a month.

Such a high overburden removal performance tells of the professionalism of the Tugnui open-pit mine specialists and confirms at the same time the high capacity and reliability of the equipment itself. Indeed the machine has achieved such a production result for the first time since being put into operation.

- BUCYRUS 495HD Excavator no. 1 was put into operation in January 2010. Within two years the "American" got accustomed in the open-pit mine and gradually built up its capacity. - The team of operators was also getting used to run the excavator - giant, - said Alexander Kashirin, the team leader, - for this purpose the crew had completed a preliminary training and successfully passed the exams. Thus the control over the specifically designed excavator was entrusted to highly qualified and greatly experienced machine operators.

BUSYRUS 495HD excavator was purchased in the framework of the SUEK long-term investment program of equipment renovation and the build-up of production capacity at Tungui open-pit mine. Eventually such economical policy has lead to today's record performance.
