Navigation Opened in Seaports of Chukotka
OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2012. In June 2012 navigation opened in the seaports of Anadyr, Beringovsky and Provideniya, reported the press-centre of Rosmorport.
On June 16, 2012 the Pioner Korsakova motor boat for the first time called at the Provideniya seaport to which it delivered general cargo and food supplies for the residents of Providensky Region of the Chukotka Autonomous District. After disembarkation the vessel continued its way to the Anadyr seaport where on June 19 it deberthed for final unloading.
Navigation in the Beringovsky seaport opened on June 19, when the Geroy motor boat moored at the seaport roads in Ugolnaya Bay. The following day the dockers started to ship coal for the Uelen village residents.
Navigation opening in the Egvekinot seaport is expected shortly, when the Kapitan Sergiyevsky motor boat calls at the seaport. And finally, the seaport of Pevek is going to open on July 2, when the first tanker of the season named the Varguza delivers tanker cargo to this remote seaport.
Along with navigation opening in the seaports of Chukotka the FSUE “Rosmorport” Anadyr branch will start rendering pilotage services in the seaports of Anadyr, Pevek and Provideniya, and also towage services while mooring in the seaports of Egvekinot and Provideniya.
