Belarusian Breweries Cut Beer Supplies to Home Market 7.7% in May
OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2012. Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers decreased 7.7% on the year in May 2012 to 4.044 million decaliters, a Belgospischeprom official told reporters.
May’s beer supplies increased 46.2% on month.
Krinitsa sales went down 2.1% to 1.1 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 5.6% to 974,200 decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales decreased 7.6% to 548,700 decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer went down 17.1% to 210,500 decaliters, of Heineken Breweries companies decreased 16% to 1.151 million decaliters.
Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers increased 2.2% on the year in January-May 2012 to 15.16 million decaliters. Beer exports grew 6% on the year to 2.547 million decaliters.
Beer output in plastic bottles accounts for 80.6% of the total output at 15.125 million decaliters (up 14.8%), beer in glass bottles – 12.6% to 2.355 million decaliters (down 9.8%), beer in kegs 6.1% at 1.153 million decaliters (up 18.1%) and beer in cans - 0.7% at 122,200 dal (up 23.1%).
