OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2012. Airline company Air Moldova launched the direct flight Chisinau – Surgut – Chisinau. The flights will be operated on a regular basis, once a week, each Thursday, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

The company awarded first flight passengers with a flight certificate which offers them the right to a one way free flight on this destination until the end of the year.

At the launch event Air Moldova invited the rock band Zdob si Zdub, which performed the most popular tracks and distended the atmosphere in the check in zone. Kids and adults with tickets to Surgut tasted the inaugural cake, with specific decorative elements of the Russian region.

Air Moldova flight to Surgut is organized to provide a convenient connection to Moldovan citizens working in the center of the petroleum and gas industry. Also, the flight will provide the residents of Tyumen region the possibility to travel to destinations from Europe through Chisinau.

“Air Moldova is always looking to find the best solutions to ensure its passengers their needs. We know that many our fellow citizens work in Surgut and its surroundings. Moldovans visit relatives, living here. This is why they need closer and comfortable flights. Also, Russia, being a important business partner for Moldova, a direct flight facilitates the economic and business traffic.” declared Victor Chironda, Air Moldova PR manager, at the launching event, organized Thursday in the check in zone at the Chisinau Airport.

Chisinau – Surgut – Chisinau flight will be operated till September, 22-nd, during which the company estimates to transport over 3000 passengers in both directions. The one way ticket’s price, all taxes included, is 223 Euros, round trip – starting with 364 Euros.

Surgut is the fourth Russian city in which Air Moldova operates regular flights, along with Moscow, Sankt Petersburg and Sochi. The new destination, Chisinau – Surgut – Chisinau, is the 22-nd in the network of regular flights operated by Air Moldova at the moment.

Each year the number of passengers using Air Moldova services is rising. Air Moldova is making all efforts needed to ensure its passengers pleasant, convenient and comfortable flights.
