OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2012. A delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) led by the Head of FAS Igor Artemyev is taking part in the events in Baku coinciding with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of establishing the antimonopoly body of the Republic of Azerbaijan, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

The Programme includes an international conference on the “Role of Antimonopoly Policy in Economic Development”, a session of the Headquarters for Joint Investigations of Violations of the Antimonopoly Law in the CIS member-states, and the 36th session of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy.

Around 150 attendees are taking part in the events, representing the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the antimonopoly authorities of the CIS member-states and other countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Serbia, Turkey), a number of international organizations, including the Organizations for Economic Cooperation and Development, CIS Executive Committee, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and “Promoting Competition in CIS Member-States” Non-Commercial Partnership.
