GE Healthcare IT, a division of General Electric Company, will be exhibiting its latest range of IT solutions at this year’s meeting of the United Kingdom Radiology Congress (UKRC). The Congress runs from 25 to 27 June at the Manchester Central Convention Centre and GE’s display is on stand number 74.

GE Healthcare IT, which has operations around the globe and currently provides PACS to a large proportion of NHS Trusts, specialises in providing a full range of highly innovative IT solutions which helps clinicians to make more informed, faster diagnoses and achieve gains in productivity.

At UKRC, GE Healthcare IT will demonstrate how it is helping to fulfill the needs of its customers in the NHS, in particular supporting the aim of providing patients with access to high quality healthcare in a cost effective and efficient way.

• A Web based PACS solution for global reading across enterprises which is deeply integrated with RIS through a single user interface
• A four-level Vendor Neutral Archive which allows patient records from across different hospitals, to be consolidated and stored using industry standards
• A Clinical Patient Information Viewer which provides access and viewing of patient histories to multi-disciplinary teams throughout the patient’s health community
• The eRadCockpit which facilitates integrated collaborative patient care by enabling radiologists to share workloads and reporting across sites. Both an XDS source and consumer access to the patient’s history is comprehensive and reporting is efficient leveraging tools such as embedded voice recognition. (Unreleased product. In addition to showcasing its latest solutions, GE Healthcare IT will highlight its involvement at the Polyclinic onsite at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games where it is providing its Centricity RIS/PACS systems. Centricity RIS/PACS stores the patient’s imaging records, enabling a quicker diagnosis through availability of the complete electronic record.
