OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2012. Specialists of the workshop No.3 of the Holding subsidiary company Sosnovoborelectromontazh OJSC have to fulfill the whole range of works on electric power supply and railway spur automatization for Baltic NPP.

The first electrical installation works became the arrangement of communication and signalization systems, including:  automatic flashing light installation, automatic bascular barriers and half-barriers, non-automatic barriers with manual mechanical or electric driving unit, together with alarm signal system (automatic or non-automatic), and also radio and telephone communication.

During further works the installation of longitudinal power supply line of 10 kV voltage and 13 km length will be performed.

Let us notice that the most complicated devices of automatics, electronics and microprocessor engineering are used at the arrangement of electrical installation equipment.

Cost of works on electric power supply arrangement and automatization of railway Neman – construction site of Baltic NPP amounts to approximately 80 million roubles. It is planned to deliver the equipment and necessary building materials to the Power Plant by the railway. Total mileage of railway tracks will make more than 12 kilometers. It is planned to finish works in 2012. The arrangement of the upper and lower structure of ways will be performed by specialists of another Holding subsidiary company –UAT OJSC.
