OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2012. Belarus plans to produce 10-20 thousand tonnes of marbled meat annually, acting chief of Belarus’ Agriculture Ministry Leonid Marinich said in his speech at the opening ceremony of the 22nd international agricultural exhibition Belagro’2012.

“Last year we produced 1,500 tonnes and this year marbled meat output will grow three times. The government adopted a programme to this effect. I think will accelerate things to make it 10-20 thousands tonnes of marbled meat,” Marinich said.

At the moment, Belarus is looking for a partner and investor to produce marbled meat on a parity basis, Marinich said.
