OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2012. A delegation of "Surgutneftegas" visited TATNEFT Company. During the working visit the representatives of the oil company from the Western Siberia met with the experts of TatNIPIneft, "TATNEFT Trade and Technology House" and got acquainted with a number of production facilities, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.     

"Surgutneftegaz" and the enterprises of TATNEFT production group are linked by partnership relations. In particular, the visitors were interested in the results of implementing TAM casing packers widely applied at TATNEFT. The advantage of using the so-called "swelling" packers is that the elastomer swelling from the impact of liquid in the packer eliminates overflows of water in the casing annulus.

Among the advanced technologies and equipment developed and applied in the Company the Siberian specialists were presented chain drives, technologies of dual completion and production (DCP) of two or more layers through dual completion and injection (DCI), horizontal pumping systems, new drilling and downhole equipment, underbalanced drilling equipment and other developments.

Among the technological solutions that attracted the attention of "Surgutneftegaz" specialists there was equipment for local casing installation to eliminate lost circulation in the process of drilling. The oilmen of Tatarstan successfully solve the problem of drilling fluid loss today through application of special profile liners. Manufacturing, preparation and servicing of the specialized equipment is performed by the service company "Perekryvatel", which is part of the "System Servis" Management Company.

The specialists of "Surgutneftegas" familiarized with the process of various drilling equipment repair, in particular with the unique technology of drill pipes reconditioning by submerged-arc build-up welding.

The delegation also toured a number of social facilities of the oil capital of Tatarstan constructed and reconstructed at the oilmen expense.
