OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2012. The Delegation of the Tolmachevo airport took part in the VI International Conference and Exhibition Air Cargo China 2012, held on June 5-7 in Shanghai. The exhibition presented the expositions of the leading airports, the world's largest air cargo carriers, logistics and freight forwarding companies.

As part of Air Cargo China 2012 Tolmachevo experts held negotiations with representatives of such air cargo carriers of South-East Asia, China and Russia   as Air China Cargo, Hong Kong Airlines, Yangtze River Express, My Cargo Airlines, Turkish Airlines Cargo, Air Bridge Cargo, Polet and others.

Visiting of the Novosibirsk airport's stand by the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Transport led by Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov was an important event of the second day of the exhibition. During the meeting of the Novaport holding Marketing Department Director Igor Knyazhevskiy and Maxim Sokolov, key areas for development of transit traffic through the Tolmachevo airport were identified.

The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub East of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve 3,155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011 and handle more than 26,000 tons of cargo and mail that is 28% more than in 2011.

Air Cargo China is organized under the Transport logistic China 2012 - the most important international logistics telematics and transport exhibition in China and Asia as a whole. The exhibition presents the full range of products in the field of transport, logistics, telematics, e-commerce, warehousing, material handling and freight traffic. Every year 440 participants from 42 countries take part in the exhibition on 15,000 sq.m. exhibition area.
