OREANDA-NEWS.  June 21, 2012. Energy Consulting participated in the Second International Conference "Operational Management in banks" held on June 11-14 in Yalta (Ukraine), reported the press-centre of Energy Consulting.

"Business-Format", the host of the Conference, has brought together managers of different subdivisions such as back-office, operational and accounting departments of banks, bank business processes and internal procedures methodology subdivisions, risk managers as well as vendors and experts in the field of automation of bank operations.

Elena Rozanova, Head of the Risk Management Practice of Energy Consulting, delivered a report on: "Regulative requirements and current practice of operational risk management in Russian banks – the Russian course to Basel".

Elena reviewed in her speech amendments in laws concerning operational risk management, provided benchmarking on their compliance with documents of international organizations including the Basel Committee on banking supervision, and estimated the impact of regulative innovations on operations of credit institutions. The participants of the event have got the information on the operational risk management practice established in the Russian bank sector and on the horizons of its further development.

Elena’s report has sparked much interest among the participants. It has been recognized as the best report of the conference.
