OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2012. In Q1, 2012 incomes from sales of data transmission and Internet access services grew 17,4% to 189,6 mln. leis (USD 15,7 mln.) in Moldova. According to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communication and Information Technologies, the largest incomes were showed by the following operators of the market: Moldtelecom, Starnet and и Orange Moldova.

The Orange Moldova sales volume increased by15.8% to 7 mln. leis; the Moldtelecom sales volume grew by 19.1% и составил 131 mln. leis; the Starnetl sales volume rose 9.5% to 27.8 mln. leis. Incomes of other operators increased 18,2% to 23,9 mln. leis In Q1, 2012, the Average Revenue per User declined 4.5% to 141.4 leis in the Internet access market, ANRCETI reports.

In Q1, 2012 there were 52 operators in the market of data transmission and fixed Internet access in Moldova. The major player of the market, Moldtelecom, occupied the 65.3% share of the market.

The share of Starnet equalled to 17,7%, with all the rest operators making the 17% share.
