OREANDA-NEWS.  June 20, 2012. Recently, a delegation from a Korean company Celltrion ST has visited the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting with the delegation, the sides exchanged views on opportunities of cooperation in the field of modern broadcasting as well as the rapidly growing digital television and the IPTV, which are an effective means of delivering television content produced. Moreover, the Korean side presented the latest achievements in the field of content delivery in Korea.

 In turn, the guests were informed to the effect that as a result of measures adopted by the government of Uzbekistan in recent years, the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan has created a powerful, modern production and technical base of television and radio broadcasting. Reconstruction of receiving-transmitting systems of television and radio distribution networks was carried out with the use of advanced information and communication technologies.

 In the production and formation process of TV and radio programs, up-to-date digital equipment and media technologies are being implemented. Construction of Media Center of NTRC of Uzbekistan, which is equipped with the modern digital techniques and technologies, was completed in order to produce high quality television programs. Of particular importance is the realization of a complex program to ensure the transition to the digital television by 2015 throughout the country. The planned and gradual introduction of digital television is being carried though in Tashkent as well as in all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Sequentially, guests were acquainted with the work of the Republican Television and Radio Centre and visited the Media Center of NTRC of Uzbekistan. Korean experts noted that what they saw exceeded their expectations, and that the population of Uzbekistan should be proud of the impressive achievements in the field of broadcasting and information technologies, which are attained during the years of independence. In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the opportunities of mutual cooperation of NTRC of Uzbekistan and Korean company Celltrion ST in the realization of complex programs to ensure the transition to digital television by 2015.

Regarding the Celltrion ST, it is considered to be a member of Celltrion, Inc. According to the representatives of the Korean Company, digital broadcasting is one of the core businesses of Celltrion ST which was commenced in 2002. The company develops and sells full-fledged cyclical systems for broadcasters and the middleware for broadcasting services.
