OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2012. The new NEFAZ-52994-0000040-42 passenger bus manufactured by Neftekamsk Automobile Plant, a subsidiary of OJSC KAMAZ, became the winner of the "Best Products of Bashkortostan" contest and a competitor of the "100 best goods of Russia" contest.

NEFAZ-52994-0000040-42 meets all standards of urban passenger transportation. Its main feature is that it is 100% low-floor with no-step entrances to all three doors. An additional feature is a bus ramp and a wheelchair space for people with reduced mobility. It is possible to install an automatic passenger traffic control system – the first and second doors are equipped with turnstiles. Passengers will use plastic entry cards, and the driver will always know how many passengers are there in the bus. The bus is also equipped with a GLONASS navigation system and a digital tachograph – a device controlling a driver’s work-rest cycle. These systems became a must for city buses in 2012.
