OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2012. Fujitsu Semiconductor Asia Pte Ltd (FSAL) today the launch of MBB95850/860/870 series MCU with new technology equipped with high security, high precision and high cost-effective dual FLASH built-in capacitive touch interface. This series includes two 24-pin MB95856 series equipped with high-sensitivity capacitive touch interface, one 32-pin MB95866 series and two 48/52-pin MB95876 series. Sample shipment is available from late June, and Fujitsu will start its mass production delivery from September 2012.

In recent years, with the popularization of touch technology in different markets, all types of touch technology are developing rapidly, and the capacitive touch application is of the fastest development. Compared to traditional mechanical key and resistive touch key, capacitive touch feels more smoothly, and it includes a touch screen with good light transmittance, and a robust and tolerant touch panel. In addition, it is dust-proof, water-proof, anti- electromagnetic and does not interfere with the light signal. To meet the market demands, combined with its leading technology in the microcontroller market, Fujitsu announced the launch of MBB95850/860/870 series MCU with built-in capacitive touch interface.

Based on 8-bit microcontroller F2MC-New8FX Family, this series uses APIS™ (Adjacent Pattern Interference Suppression) and AIC™ (Configurable Automatic Impedance Calibration) touch technology, which enable touch MCU to accurately identify touch input at various temperatures and in humidity environment, and under different ground conditions and complex working conditions. The built-in capacitive touch peripheral unit makes the capacitive touch function used as easily as common peripherals. The products supports capacitive touch button and slider, while its hardware supports to add capacitive touch functionality in application, thus no additional software overhead is needed. This series employs dual channel FLASH technology, which makes the program run in FLASH and read/write operation on another channel at the same time, so as to protect the important data of our customers. Meanwhile, this series integrates various timers with multiple channels and high versatility, 10-bit high resolution A/D convertor, oscillation circuit, low-voltage detection circuit, UART/SIO circuit, I2C circuit and built-in one-channel analog comparator, which greatly reduces the number of components in the customer’s system and improves its product integration accordingly.

MBB95850/860/870 series adopts 180 nm technologies to achieve a high energy-efficiency design. This series uses advanced technologies, which makes the components to realize a higher integration and precision, for example: the chip integrates an oscillator with frequency at 16.25MHz ±2%, a data flash memory that supports background operation and 100,000 read/write operations, a built-in A/D convertor and low-voltage detection circuit helps to realize higher precision.

MBB95850/860/870 series employs common development tools and software development environment. This series adopts single wire on-chip debug function, which facilitate the customers in debugging by using the least number of pins.
