OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2012. Aegis, a global business services and experience management company and part of the USD 27 billion Essar Group, today announced the launch of its new center in Peru, in the city of Lima.

The company, with headquarters in Mumbai, India, plans to hire over 800 employees in the first year and aims to reach a headcount of 2,000 in the second year.

The site, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and strategically located in the historical center of Lima, has three floors which include call center floors with over 300 seats, meeting and training rooms and sections for administrative employees as well as break rooms.

Fernando Padron, Country Head, Latin America, Aegis, stated: “We are very excited about our entry into Peru, which adds a new dot to the Aegis Map. We will offer our services to the internal Peru market, and also to the off shore markets.”

This is Aegis’ second milestone within the region, after acquiring Actionline de Argentina in October 2010, which has over 5000 employees and 5 sites spread out in different Argentine cities.

Peruvian industry which has grown over the last few years, offers great market potential for voice services in Spanish, and also has great employment and economic development prospects.
