ABC Launches ATMs in Uygur Language in Xinjiang
OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2012. Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) recently launched ATMs accepting financial IC cards in the Uygur language in Xinjiang as a featured service for local ethnic minority customers.
It's reported that through ATMs offering services in the Uygur language, ethnic minority customers can use bank cards to handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, password changes, and many other ATM-based services, reported the press-centre of ABC.
All function keys, transaction interfaces, prompt messages, and voice navigation are available in Uygur. This ATM version adds the Uygur language building upon the previous Chinese version and English version, and enables free switching among the three languages. Among its peers, ABC has pioneered the use of voice navigation in the Uygur language.
Popularization of ATMs in the Uygur language can effectively help ethnic minority customers overcome language barriers during transactions, improve customer experience, and raise ABC's capability in serving people's livelihood.
