OREANDA-NEWS.  June 18, 2012. TNK-BP invites potential partners to take part in a tender to provide transportation services to its Upstream subsidiaries in Western Siberia and the Orenburg region. Company experts from the Supply Chain Management Division will inform potential contractors about how tenders are conducted, their main selection criteria and what is required of potential counterparties at a conference, which will take place in Moscow on 20 June, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

TNK-BP is consistently developing a new contractor system based on the principles of transparency, openness and an equal playing field for all participants and potential partners. The forum for transport contractors will become an efficient mechanism for the company to cooperate with its counterparties. Based on the results of the event, TNK-BP aims to engage the most competent and dependent strategic partners, who will fit in with the Company’s high standards of transportation safety and service quality.

Olga Malyshkina, Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Upstream, commented: “Keeping to high standards of production safety and efficient management of the technical equipment fleet does not only require new technological solutions, but also needs the constant improvement of the system of co-operation with specialist contractors. TNK-BP is interested in forming strategic partnerships with the best companies in the transportation service market. As a result of the conference, we expect to conclude several long term agreements, with terms of up to 7 years, the total sum of which may exceed USD 1 billion.”
