Moldova Has to Have Special Law Regulating Activity in Sea Ports
OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2012. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy this was spoken about at a special sitting on matters of development of the port of Giurgiulesti.
As it was said at the sitting the order of the Customs Services does not correspond with practices of customs clearance in sea ports, makes economic agents pay extra costs and lower efficiency of port services. Participants of the sitting discussed an opportunity to simplify the customs clearance procedure in the port and a necessity to ensure its transparency and efficiency.
The port of Giurgiulesti is a strategic project implemented under the public-and-private partnership. It is aimed at providing stable position of Moldova on the Danube and making the southern region of our country a center of development by creating jobs for inhabitants of nearby villages, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar has said.
As he has noted not all state institutions are aware of the economic, political and even geopolitical importance of this object and violate the law regulating the work of the port.
