OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2012. According to the association "Ukrautoprom" in May 31,231 initial registrations of motor vehicles were carried out in Ukraine, which is up 43% exceeding the same period of the previous year. Passenger cars were registered in 20,987 units or 30% more than the May figure in 2011. The market of commercial vehicles increased by 79% and reached 9,729 units. Bus fleet in Ukraine added 515 buses (46%). 

 The market activity in terms of passenger cars fell by 1% versus the previous month, in the commercial segment an increase of 11% is recorded and the bus market grew by 15%.
 In the area of new vehicle sales a tendency of the last year continues: a typical small dip in May of first registrations, which was formed by the most massive car market segments - passenger cars and commercial. This trend was typical not only of the past year, but the pre-crisis period, indicating the overall positive trend for the market.
