Industrial Production Decreased in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared with April, 2011 it decreased 2.5%. The decline in industrial production was explained by 6,9% lower production in the mining industry, by 2,3% lower production in the processing industry and the 4,4% less production in the energy sector.
In January-April, 2012 it was produced 2,3% more foods and beverages than in the same period in 2011. For example, it was produced 21,1% more vegetable oils and fats, 19,9% more meat, canned meat and meat products; 9,4% more milk and dairy and 1,1% more wines. Medical devices and precious and optical instruments production grew 1.9 times; manufacture grew 28.2% for machines and electrical equipment; 6.6% for textiles, 4.9% for leather items and foot wear; 5.8% for finished metalware excluding machines and equipment, 0.4% for furniture, etc.
At the same time, in this period Moldova saw a decline by 48,3% I flour-grinding production; 40,4% in tobacco production; 27,3% in chemical industry; 25,4% in metallurgic industry; 24,8% in manufacture of on-metal mineral products, 18,5% in production of machines and equipment; 16,6% in production of cloths; 13,7% in production of woodwork, 13,4% in production of cacao, chocolate and confectionary; 10,8% in production of printed materials; 7,8% in production of canned fruit and vegetables; 5,5% in production of bread and pastry; 5,3% in production of plastic and rubber items; 3,5% in production of mineral water and refrigerants.
