Dexia Announced New Member of Board of Directors
OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2012. Having met today under the chairmanship of Mr. Jean-Luc Dehaene, the Board of Directors of Dexia SA notes the decision of Mrs. Isabelle Bouillot and Mr. Francis Vermeiren to end their mandates as Board members, with immediate effect.
The Board has also decided to co-opt Mr. Karel De Boeck as a member of the Board to replace Mr. Vermeiren. His final appointment will be proposed at the next General Meeting of Dexia SA.
Dexia thanks Mrs. Isabelle Bouillot and Mr. Francis Vermeiren for their contribution to the works of its Board of Directors.

Karel De Boeck, who was born in 1949 and is of Belgian nationality, is qualified in electromechanical civil engineering (1972) and has a degree in economic sciences (1974) from the Catholic University of Leuven. In 1976, he joined Generale de Banque where he worked in all the domestic and international banking business lines before becoming marketing director of the commercial division. In 1993, he joined the CGER (Fortis) bank and became chairman of the management committee in January
From 1999 to 2002, Karel De Boeck was chairman of the Belgian Banking Association (now Febelfin) and chairman of EFMA (the European Financial Management & Marketing Association) from 2003 to 2006.
Karel De Boeck also sits on various boards of directors (Lamifil and Willemen Group) and is chairman of the boards of directors of Boek.be and Allegro Investment Fund NV.
