Over the past several years, PwC Legal has built up a robust law practice in Russia both through its own organic growth and tenacious recruiting of legal talent from top-rated international law firms.

This year, PwC Legal was named one of Russia’s leading legal advisers by the Legal 500, an authoritative independent research organisation. The firm has been recommended in 6 out of the 13 practice areas covered in the Legal 500 Russia survey: banking and finance, corporate law/M&A (Moscow and St Petersburg), employment law, energy and natural resources, and taxes. Several PwC Legal partners and associates received individual mention in the survey, including: Yana Zoloeva, Alexey Shinkarenko, Anna-Stefaniya Chepik, Yana Proskurina, Evgeniy Gouk, Vladimir Sokolov, and Maria Landau.

PwC Legal was ranked among the 11 best Russian employment law firms (tier 4) in the Chambers & Partners Europe 2012 rating, the first year it took part in the survey.

In the individual ratings of Russia’s top 10 employment law attorneys, PwC Legal Partner Anna-Stefaniya Chepik was once again recommended (tier 1) “as one of the best-known lawyers on the market” while Senior Associate Maria Landau also made the top 10 list.

The firm’s first year participating in the PLC Which Lawyer rating also produced impressive results. PwC Legal was named one of Russia’s best law firms in a number of legal practice areas, including corporate law and M&A, employment law (including employee incentives), and tax.
