OREANDA-NEWS.  June 13, 2012. 152 million Euros from the EBRD will be directed on the construction of subway in Dnipropetrovsk. Decisions about the advisability of attracting loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to implement the investment project "Completion of construction of subway in Dnipropetrovsk" has adopted on June 11 at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The project will provide an opportunity to begin a major expansion of the existing subway lines. It will be added another four km of subway along the boulevard Karl Marx to existing today 7 km of subway. An expansion of the existing subway line to the city center will increase its length to 11 kilometers and will add three new stations - "Teatralna", "Tsentralna" and "Muzeina".

In total for the project, including loans 152 million Euros from EBRD, will be involved up 304 million Euros.
