OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2012. It will be renovate 700 km of rural roads in Ukraine this year. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov informed about it on his page in the social network Facebook.

"This year we have to repair 700 km of rural roads. Refers to the roads that connect our village with district centers "- he said.

Mykola Azarov added that such a task appears in Ukravtodor’s plans for the first time. "And this figure will only grow from year to year" - the Prime Minister assured.

However, the Prime Minister added, Ukraine is a big country, and so-called rural roads we have over 150 thousand km. "So those scales, of which we speak should be increased in coming years at least in 10 times. Now the priority is given to major first-class roads. But with the development of the network of trunk roads more funds will be focused on roads that we call "rural." And it is not only the possibility of the local budget. This is a broad program of road construction in the country, which will be implemented through a variety of sources"- Mykola Azarov said.
