OREANDA-NEWS. June 9, 2012. Members of the executive board of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC held an event devoted to prevention of electrical accidents among children. For this purpose, a group of power engineers organized a meeting with children in ulitsa Moskovskaya, the central street of Penza, to remind them of basic electrical safety rules. A number of events took place at the local concert grounds to celebrate the International Day for Protection of Children. Employees of Penzaenergo presented the schoolchildren with useful gifts: issue-related table games, notebooks and drawing-books with electrical safety tips printed on cover pages. Besides, on the first of June, Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, summarized the results of the region-wide Children's Drawing Contest devoted to electrical safety issues. The contest was announced in March 2012, as part of the program for preventing electrical accidents among children launched by Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC. Works of young painters of the city and the region were accepted until May 31. The children depicted main electrical hazards that may be encountered at home and in the street. Seventeen children became winners in this contest, and one contestant received a special prize for a craftwork item devoted to energy savings. All other participants received recognition gifts.
