OREANDA-NEWS. June 9, 2012. An annual general meeting of shareholders of JSC  "Nizhnekamskshina" was held in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan) on June 8, which was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of JSC  TATNEFT, Zagit Sharafeev, Deputy General Director of JSC  TATNEFT for Petrochemicals Production - Director of LLC  "Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company" and Aydar Metshin, Head of Nizhnekamsk municipal district.

The general meeting of "Nizhnekamskshina" shareholders approved the annual report and the Company's financial statements for 2011. The summary report on the results of the Company's activities was presented to the assembly by Radiy Burganov, Executive Director of JSC  "Nizhnekamskshina". He stressed in his report the fact that JSC  "Nizhnekamskshina" was steadily developing in 2011 maintaining its position as one of the leaders of the Russian tire manufacturing industry.

Over the past year tire factories of JSC  TATNEFT's petrochemical complex produced 11 million 13 thousand pieces, including 9 million 856 thousand tires produced by "Nizhnekamskshina", 969 thousand tires produced by the Truck Tires Factory and 188 thousand tires yielded by the Solid Steel Cord Tires Factory.

The priorities of the Company include a continuously updated range of products yielded in accordance with the market requirements. Production of 21 new models of tires was started during 2011.

The geography of sales carried out by LLC  "TD" Kama", the main distributor of tires, expanded. Deliveries were made to 48 countries in 2011. Nizhnekamsk tires under KAMA and KAMA EURO brands are supplied for the assembly of the cars produced by the factories of JSC  "KAMAZ", JSC  "AvtoVAZ" and JSC  "UAZ". The coordinated teamwork of the Management Company, "Kama" Science and Technology Center, Tire Factory and "Kama" Trading House resulted in achieving an engineering approval of the first tires homologator for the Russian car factories producing Fiat, Volkswagen and Skoda cars.

Beginning in June 2010 tires manufactured by JSC  "Nizhnekamskshina" have been delivered for the assembly of Volkswagen Polo Sedan cars and starting in 2011 premium tires under an Italian brand have been delivered for the assembly of Skoda Oktavia cars. The plans provide for works completion on the homologation of tires for Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Elantra and Ford Transit cars.

The quality management system audits carried out in 2011 demonstrated that the activity of the enterprise in the new conditions of the tire business management taking into account the certification expansion for products design met the international requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949, the requirements of automobile manufacturing customers and was efficient retaining the integrity in the conditions of transferring some functions to outsourcing.

The shareholders elected 11 members of the Board of Directors of JSC  "Nizhnekamskshina" at the meeting.

Rinat Sabirov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, was appointed a member of the Board of Directors based on the "golden share" right owned by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The following persons were elected as the Board of Directors members: Timur Akulov, Assistant to the President of the RT, Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of JSC  TATNEFT, Nail Maganov, First Deputy General Director of JSC  TATNEFT, Victor Gorodny and Vladimir Lavushchenko, Deputies of General Director of JSC  TATNEFT, Iskandar Garifullin, Chief Accountant of JSC  TATNEFT, Zagit Sharafeev, Director of "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company, Zakir Fairuzov, First Deputy of the above-mentioned, Radiy Burganov, Executive Director of "Nizhnekamskshina" and Ilgizar Yakushev, Deputy General Director of JSC  " Tatneftekhiminvest - Holding ".

ZAO "Energy Consulting/Audit" (Moscow) was approved as an External Auditor of "Nizhnekamskshina" Company.

"We can make quality tires"- Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, said in his closing remarks to the delegates of the meeting. He stressed the importance of the environmental component of the Company's activity, which is the guarantee of the progress and the production development. Rustam Nurgaleevich also highly praised the social policy of JSC  TATNEFT. The highlight of the RT President's speech was congratulation of the legendary veteran of the tire industry: Nikolay Zelenov, the first General Director of JSC  "Nizhnekamskshina" on the occasion of his eightieth birthday. Nikolay Alexandrovich received awards of the federal and the republican levels, as well as the rewards of JSC  TATNEFT and gifts.

The first meeting of the Board of Directors held immediately after the general shareholders meeting elected Shafagat Takhautdinov as Chairman of the Board.

During the visit to Nizhnekamsk the delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov visited LLC  "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory" and social facilities of the JSC  TATNEFT's tire manufacturing complex companies. Those facilities include the children's health improvement camp "Chayka", in which reconstruction and major repairs TATNEFT invested 210 million rubles in 2008 - 2011 years. Reconstruction works were carried out in the camp's dining room, 6 dormitories and assembly hall. 1,360 children rest at the camp every year. The camp's facilities are used as a recreation center for families of JSC  TATNEFT's petrochemical complex enterprises employees in autumn and winter.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan paid attention to the public catering facilities: he familiarized with the operation of the primary food processing facility of the food combine "Shinnik" functioning today in a commissioning mode, as well as with the operation of canteen No. 2 built at the territory of "Nizhnekamskshina" assembling works. TATNEFT Company invested 196 million rubles in the reorganization of the public catering system.
