OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2012. The Government is realizing the policy of import substitution, reducing the consumption of expensive Russian gas and expanding a program of alternative energy sources. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this during a discussion with economic experts on the program of import substitution and development of the domestic market.

"The Government in this regard offers and carries a serious effort associated primarily with saving gas. We consume gas for 12.5 billion less and consume more coal, , think about peat, think about non-traditional sources, think about the exploration of our fields ", - Mykola Azarov said.

The Prime Minister said that today had a meeting with the Regional Director of "Shell", during which recalled the major oil and gas provinces of the world and the potential of Ukraine.
