OREANDA-NEWS. June 8, 2012. A group of alumni of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO created a new startup – Non-profit Fund “Open Collection”, which is aimed at implementing international projects in the sphere of culture and art, developing the Peasant Art and Avant-garde Museum on Campus, and supporting all kind of activities of the SKOLKOVO Art club.

The opening of the Fund is a result of work of the SKOLKOVO MBA-2 alumni: Alexander Parfilov, Maria Fomina, Alexey Nazarov, Igor Korotkiy, and Marina Zazharskaya. Julia Terekhova, scientist- ethnographer, was appointed the general director of the Fund. The Board of Trustees and the Board of Founders will be formed by the students, alumni and faculty.

“I am glad that our students come up with real projects and establish new companies as the result of their studies”, said Andrei Volkov, Dean of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. “I wish the Fund and its team success a lot of interesting projects in the future.”

In the framework of the project launch, a partnership agreement between the SKOLKOVO business school and the Fund has been signed to determine the principles of their cooperation. In continuation of the event the SKOLKOVO Art Club conducted an opening of an exhibition “Russian Fairy tales” by Petr Aksenov, artist and photographer, and demonstrated a renovated exhibition of the Peasant Art and the Avant-garde Museum. Moreover, Alexey Germanovich, professor of practice of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, announced that he would give his private collection of the peasant art of the Russian North in the ownership of the Fund “Open Collection”.
