OREANDA-NEWS. June 7, 2012. Moscow Domodedovo Airport took part in the 7th International Aviation Forum Routes Europe - 2012, that was held on May 20 - 22 in Tallinn (Estonia).

In 2012, the International Aviation Forum Routes Europe brought together some 800 delegates - Senior Executives of the world’s largest airlines, airports, service providers, investors, international and regional associations, national tourism organizations.

Within the forum Domodedovo airport representatives held business negotiations with several airlines and airports and outlined plans for further cooperation.

- The airport is interested in opening direct scheduled flights to Tallinn as well as in the development of airline service with Northern Europe and, in its turn, can offer passengers the best connection flights to domestic and international destinations, - declared Mr. Andrey Kapinos, Director of Route Network Development of Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

Domodedovo is the largest Russian air harbor as for passenger traffic. There are 82 airlines which operate regular flights to 240 destinations from the airport, where 86 destinations are unique for the Moscow Aviation Hub.

Routes was founded in 1995. The core company business is organization of international and regional aviation forums (Routes Regional Europe, Routes Regional Asia, Routes Regional Africa and Routes Regional Americas). Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest Russian airport as for passenger traffic. According to the results of 2011 the airport attended to 25,701,610 people, that allowed it to be ranked among the largest airports in Europe under the ACI classification. Moscow Domodedovo Airport is selected for flights to Moscow by members of the world’s leading aviation alliances - oneworld and Star Alliance. Since 2009 Moscow Domodedovo Airport tops the list of the best airports in Eastern Europe for quality of service, according to annual survey by independent research company Skytrax Research (UK).
