OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. The Ivanovo combined-cycle power plant (a company in the INTER RAO group) carried out comprehensive commissioning of the CCPP-325 Block №2 utilizing the NPO Saturn-made GTD-110 engines.

Mr. Alexander Ivanov, NPO Saturn high-power industrial turbines program director: ‘The certificate of completion of the comprehensive commissioning campaign has been signed. The block integrating the gas-turbine engines №№ 6,7 has now completed the entire test campaign demonstrating its ability to operate at the nominal power rating and confirming its specified performance within the combined-cycle operating envelope’.

The management of the Ivanovo combined-cycle power plant congratulated NPO Saturn OJSC on the successful completion of the commissioning campaign and expressed their hope 'to continue working together on the post-development of the GTD-110 engine to match the performance of the engines produced by the world’s leading industrial gas turbine manufactures’.

The letter addressed to the chief executive officer of NPO Saturn, Mr. Ilya Fedorov, expresses gratitude of the customer with regard to the effort of the NPO Saturn team, who ‘directly participated in the commissioning activities at the Block №2 of the Ivanovo combined-cycle power plant and professionally engineered well thought-out decisions in the shortest term to ensure reliable operation of the GTD-110 engine’.

Mr. Pavel Fetisov, NPO Saturn deputy CEO for industrial and marine gas-turbine engine programs noted that ‘this is a good result of the real team work between the design and production engineers of NPO Saturn and the personnel of the customer – the Ivanovo combined-cycle power plant. And, we definitely have all the reasons to continue our effective cooperation in the future’.
