OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. The Board of Directors of MDM Bank has adopted a resolution on appointing Igor Kouzine as Chairman of the Management Board beginning from June 1, 2012. Mr Kouzine’s candidacy was approved by the territorial administration of the Bank of Russia for the Novosibirsk region.
Igor graduated with honors from the College of Saint Rose at Albany, New York State, with a degree in management in 1995. In 2001, Igor completed an MBA in financial management at the University of Chicago School of Business, Illinois.
From 1997 to March 2000, Igor worked as a Manager at McKinsey & Company in Toronto, Canada. Later, from April 2000 to December 2002, he held the post of Managing Director at the Profile Venture Partners investment fund in the U.S., where he managed the creation and operations of a fund focused on investments in companies developing information technologies for the financial sector. From January to November 2003, Igor was Vice-President of Sanchez Computer Associates Inc., where he was responsible for business development in Central Europe and Asia.
From December 2003 to September 2008, Igor held the posts of Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of CB DeltaCredit. In this capacity he managed the reorganization, growth, and strategic sale and integration of Russia’s largest privately owned mortgage bank to the Societe Generale group, where the bank showed record return on investments among the group’s divisions.
From October 2008 to July 2009, Igor facilitated, on the part of MDM Bank, the implementation of the merger transaction between MDM-Bank and URSA Bank.
Since October 2008, Igor Kouzine has been a visiting professor at the Russian Economic School, where he teaches a management course, “The Art and Science of Managerial Performance”, within the Master of Finance program. In 2008, Igor was awarded the title of the best visiting professor.
