OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. CROC held its 20th Anniversary Reception for customers and partners. The event near the Ostankino TV Tower was attended by approximately 2,500 guests and its motto was “Charge with CROC’s Energy”.

On the stage, sports announcers Kirill Nabutov and VJ Avrora hosted a colorful show. Throughout the night, ‘energy streams’ flew to the stage and from one interactive zone to another—including the ‘Movement Energy’ zone, which featured demonstrations of vehicles from the Auto-Exotica Festival—the Ostankino TV Tower observation floor ‘transformed’ into the ‘Cloud Station’ and a tent with the ‘Dynamic UPS Station’ bar and ‘Recharge Station’ restaurant. The entertainment included acts by Sonika and Bahroma, both finalists of the CROC Rock Festival, the Moscow Hook drum show, the Street Union Parkour team, the Jazz Dance Orchestra, Tesla Show artists and the Praktika Theatre.

The “CROC Man” robot welcomed guests and walked them to the observation zone, innovation tent or bar. Guests also tested the LongPen device, which is designed to manually sign hardcopy documents no matter how far away they are. In addition, guests were able to have a complete medical examination in just three minutes using a specialized medical kiosk and also see many other unique technologies.

“Business success depends on multiple factors, including everyday hard work, a professional team, reliable partners and, of course, good luck. A leading market position, annual revenue which is growing faster than the market (approximately USD 1.3 billion revenue in 2011), around 1,000 large-scale projects implemented annually and more than 2,000 highly professional employees: these are the results which define our first twenty-year milestone. We are full of energy and look forward to new accomplishments!” commented Boris Bobrovnikov, Director General, CROC.

During the Reception, CROC presented its “20 Ways to Brighten Up Your Life” project with the list of initiatives to commemorate our 20th anniversary. Some initiatives are targeted at making communicating with CROC faster and easier for customers and partners; a number of ideas improve CROC’s business, and others are socially conscious like the collaboration with the Lisa Alert Team, which coordinates volunteers to help find missing people, as well as collaborations with both environmental organizations Greenpeace and WWF. During the event, a grant of 500,000 rubles was given to the Bryanski Forest National Park as a result of the Facebook “Plant a Tree” campaign.

“It’s impossible to do business without information technology, and advanced IT infrastructure is a success factor for every company. Of course, it’s important to have confidence in the integrator which deals with all our systems and that’s why we have been working with CROC for six years. The company’s employees are true professionals, creative and a pleasure to communicate with,” said Chris Mangham, IT Director, M.Video.

“Our market is full of teams which can offer standard solutions or services. However, CROC is open to new knowledge and sometimes even to exotic technology and IT products. CROC always accommodatesour wishes and does not economize when it comes to investing in professional development, which is not cheap, by the way. For a customer, it’s valuable to find such a partner willing to invest in education and experience. Happy Birthday! To new business success!” commented Teimur Sternlieb, Deputy CEO for Business Support, X5 Retail Group.
