OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. Basic Element, one of Russia's leading and most dynamic diversified business groups, is delighted to announce the appointment of Gulzhan Moldazhanova as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

In her new position, Ms. Moldazhanova will play an expanded role in providing leadership and guidance for Basic Element's growth strategy, strengthening the competitiveness of the Group and increasing the efficiency of its companies.

Biography

Gulzhan Moldazhanova joined AluminProdukt in 1995 as a secretary. Between 1995 and 1999 she held various positions in Siberian Aluminum including accountant, financial manager and commercial director.

From 2002 to 2004 she was Sales and Marketing Director and Director for Strategy and Corporate Development at Rusal.

Between 2004 and 2009 she was Managing Director with responsibility for the aluminum business, Deputy CEO and then CEO of Basic Element.

From 2009 to 2011 she was CEO of ESN Corporation.

Gulzhan Moldazhanova graduated from the Kazakh State University with an honors degree in physics, received a doctorate from Moscow State University and subsequently graduated from the Russian State Finance Academy. She also holds an MBA from the Academy of National Economy and the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
